The instructors
What qualifies them
Familydinnernotes was built by people who spent years cooking professionally before deciding that the most interesting teaching happened in home kitchens, not restaurant ones. The gap between what culinary schools teach and what actually matters on a Tuesday evening is larger than most people realize.
The two lead instructors bring 14 combined years of working kitchen experience - line cooking, catering, and recipe development for a regional food publication. Neither has a television credit. Both have taught cooking in person to groups ranging from 6 to 60 people, which shaped how the online lessons are structured: short, specific, and built around the mistakes that actually happen.
The curriculum was written over 18 months, tested with 37 home cooks across 9 countries before the platform launched. The feedback shaped everything from lesson length to which easy supper ideas made the cut. If a technique did not survive a real kitchen with a real weeknight, it did not make the program.
